October or Finn to her friends, sat at her desk; her math book in front of her. But she was preoccupied with staring out through the open window.
With a sigh she looked around the room. She had worked hard to make it feel more like a room then a prison cell. There were posters of her favorite band 'Green Day'. Pictures of her friends from the West Coast and finally pictures of her with her brother and sister.
Dark blue sheets and a black comforter covered the double bed beside her. A green care bear sat against the pillows, a gift from her little sister. Knick knacks and books covered the shelves. A TV and DVD/VHS combo sat on a stand next to the dresser.
'I can't believe I've been here two years know.' she thought chewing on her lower lip. 'I wonder how this year will turn out." Slowly Finn turned back around and started once more on her math.
